Michael H. Gold
Michael is a distinguished criminal defense attorney with over 35 years experience in the state and federal systems. He has had over 50 criminal trials and appellate arguments and has enjoyed the coveted “AV” rating from his peers for the past 22 years. Michael began his legal career with the Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division where he honed his negotiation and trial skills while representing indigent clients charged with a full array of offenses including, among many others, DWI, larceny, assault, rape and manslaughter. Thereafter, he became a federal prosecutor with the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York where he led prosecutions involving terrorism, political corruption, fraud, large scale narcotics sales and importation, RICO and other federal cases. Michael was a partner at a boutique criminal defense firm and started his own practice in 1993, where he has maintained an active and diverse federal and state practice. Michael is admitted to practice law in New York State, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
